Sitting in a place Of warm solitude... I write in my journal Hoping no one will intrude. I play some music Maybe loud rock n’roll... Maybe sounds of nature To soothe my soul. I set down all my Thoughts and poses... Things of forget-me-nots And wild roses. I can look back to see Where I have been... To see where I am going I just release my pen. My thoughts run wild Or down a charted course... Dreams of childhood Hopes for a horse. The birth of my children The breakup of marriage... Slow dancing Rides in a carriage. When I am done I will lock away this book... Hoping no one finds it No one takes a look. My private Thoughts and poses... Forget-me-nots And roses. ©1999~CJB~ |

Wonderful, Wonderful, Wonderful! "When I am done I will lock away this book... Hoping no one finds it No one takes a look." I am a big journal keeper and you echo my very own thoughts. You make me want to take my journal outside and just write forever. |

Denise....Thank you.I am glad you enjoyed it. TA...yes journals make that happen...I have one beside my bed, another beside my favorite chair and one in my bag so that I can catch all those thoughts, whether waiting some place or on a picnic, anything! I am glad you like the poem. Butterflies...I am sorry you lost your journal.I understand your feelings.Must feel like an invasion, knowing someone else has it. Maybe if it wasn't sold too long ago, you could advert to try and get it back. I hope so. Thanks for your comments. MBlue |

MagnoliaBlue~ Beautifully done. I love journals. I give my children one each Christmas and they really seem to enjoy keeping them up to date. One of my sons calls it his 'other room'. He says it's where he can go to find himself. On holidays they bring their journals for each other to write a page in. Thanks for sharing this. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |

MB ohh this was so sweet and beautiful! i loved every line of this piece. isn't writing a wonderful thing?! it's truly been my salvation at some of my weakest and hardest times in life. i am glad you joined passions and hope you stick around for quite some time to come. take care, amy "Don't be dismayed at goodbyes. A farewell is before you can meet again. And meeting again after a moment or a lifetime is certain for those who are friends." "Fate exists but it can only take you so far, Because once you're there It's up to you to make it happen." |

Oh, this spoke directly to my heart. Journaling was my first attempt at "writing" only I just didn't realize how much I loved it and miss it. This was so in tune with my own thoughts and memories of a time spent refreshing myself, and letting the world go by. Thank you for posting it! Kathleen [email protected] |
