I sense there is some danger here, in the secret thoughts I've read.
Balladeer is being way too nice in all the things he's said.
And Parker is a real sweetheart, with each and every thought,
To which I now must ask myself, "My Gawwwd, what have I wrought?!!"

Naturally, sweet Corinne, has clearly described my style,
"Sweety" and a real good cook, and I make her smile.
And all the other ladies have said they are so glad I'm here,
(Notice they didn't same the same about that rascal Balladeer!)

Old man Parker is the one of whom the ladies coo and swoon,
His real demeanor will come to the fore, and it won't be too soon.
And then they'll see, though not like Toe, he's still a reprobate,
Then he can kiss off his chances here for any kind of date.

Now concerning Toerag, the phantom of this place,
I wish I could see more of him (without actually seeing his face)
He's been gone way too long, and we've missed his verses
(Except of course for the rocky flow, and the many misspelled curses.)

As for the ladies who keep us in these skirmishes and wars,
We love each and every one of you; you're who we're fighting for.
We know, in our masculine way, that you wish we'd get along
See?  I'm just an innocent babe.  I know women can do no wrong.

The ever lovely Lorelei asures me this is so,
And that the ladies of the Forums would never side with 'Deer or Toe.
But then she sighs when she reads of Norse mythology and such
What could it mean when she screams, "Yes!  Oh Thor!" when we're in a clutch?

In summary, sweet maidens dear, and all my other friends
I'm glad I am a part of here, where muses' trails wend.
Each one of you are part of me, I hope you feel the same,
So, if I'm somewhat uncouth; Park, 'Deer and Toe are the ones to blame.

LOL...
your really asking for it LOL
great poem...your command of witty rhyme
is evident...and how smart you are to
smooze the ladies and get them on your side..
tho park will give you a run for your money there...he smoozes with the best of them
ask him about his pedestals LOL
and never count out sweet-deer...he can flirt with the best of them..
Toe comes and goes these days...but good ole SY keeps Deer in check.
great witty fun here, this rivalry should entertain us
well for the summer...

LongJohn~

In throes of the heart
throughout the forum,
I'm sure there's many
here to score 'em.

With just the flash
of your sweet smile ..
we'll wish you were here
all the while.

As for the Toe
NOW where did he go ?
He left a sparkling band
for the Parker man!

When it comes to *swoons*
I fear ....
I place mine with
The Balladeer !

For he can simply
turn a phrase
and flirt with me
in his own sweet ways.

I don't mind saying
he's got what it takes
And he certainly is
no reprobate !

All the ladies hearts
that you guys tweak
stand smiling
in adoration's peak.

It's all done
with ever so much fun ...
So keep it coming
Ole 'uncouth' one !

Love ya'

We know you are an innocent sir
a babe led astray by the Toe
'deer and Parker are meanies
And here I'll tell you so.

A pirate makes the women swoon
such danger in his verse
so if you dare to absent yourself
I'll have to learn to curse!

Love your poem!

LongJohn, you are a clever one
The way that you are smooozin'
The ladies of the forum here
Between your bouts of boozin'.

You act so sympathetic
So much nicer than the rest
But everyone knows a pirate's
Only interested in chests.

The skull and crossbones is your flag
Upon the ocean blue
Though, I admit, it does look funny
On a small canoe!

Don't count on ladies for your crew
They're wise to you...and hip.
They know that if you do go down
It won't be on your ship!!!

I must admit dear Parker
Is the phantom of my dreams
But Toe's the one who really has
Enraptured me, it seems
But then I met dear Balladeer
His charismatic ways
And when I met dear LngJhn
My mind was in a daze
All of them posses the touch
The very special charms
I don't know which will catch me
When I fall into their arms
We love you all so keep it up
This never ending rift
And ladies of the passionate kind
On every word will drift
Love ya's all

I wonder which one of you would win at the game of poker,
if the four of you played together and didn't hide the joker, or at a poetry workshop held in Las Vegas, wonder which one of you would stay instead of spending all your wages?

My guess is that you'd have a blast and all hang together,
and we all know, the saying goes,
birds of a sweet feather!
