I had never written before I lost Erin. This is one of the first things I wrote (that made sense) to her. I was so tired of being so sad so I tried to make it somewhat happy. For Erin Little One Why have you gone? Someday we'll join you It won't be long. Until then, Keep everyone up there on the run Touch the moon, the stars And chase the sun. Play games with grandma and sing a song Let her rock you and hold you Like our hearts long. Give everyone a kiss, and send them our love, and soon we'll see you In Heaven above. I enjoyed this. It was beautiful and very touching. Whatever the challenge was, you seemed to have met it wonderfully. Nothing can deter a poet, for he is actuated by pure love. Who can predict his comings and goings? "Thoreau" |

This is so touching. I can't imagine how this must feel, but I would hope for the same things that you hoped for in your prayer to Erin. |

Lori, this was absolutely lovely! What wonderful words came from such a sad time. I find that this is when I'm so grateful to be able to write, in those sad times, its so therapeutic, almost as if by placing pen to paper, it gives you license to grieve or just feel sad when you want to. It's such a release. Your poem was so touching, thank you so much for sharing this with us. Much appreciation, /Kit |
