The Cure

I think a lot these days
At night I lie awake
My memory replays
every single mistake

I wish i could have been
your everything and more
I missed my chance again
I’ve little to live for

If you could only see
The way I’m so unsure
I know you'd set me free
I know you hold the cure

You can't change the past, so don't regret it so much. You should tell this girl how you feel, and stop regretting it. That would be "The cure"

I think your writing is every bit as it ever was, and believe me it was always excellent. Perhaps it is all in the timing.  As it is in relationship's my friend.

What Spiked has quoted is so true and I speak from personal experience.

Do not let past relationships influence future ones.  Keep your spirits high.

Kevin, don't be sad. "My memory replays
every single mistake"; Tonight play the good memories, the happy times, reflect on the positives. Compare these times to now, what's changed, you? her? Don't live in fear of holding onto her, oh, darn, I could write a book. I agree with everyone above. Marcy

Hiya Kevin. There was a time in my life when I used to look back at all the decisions I'd made in my life, all the mistakes, all those odd turns of fate, wondering "what would have happened if...?" and regretting a lot of those decisions. As I got older though, new opportunities presented themselves, new chances not to make a mistake (or new chances TO make a mistake   ) At some stage, I realized that without those mistakes, quirks of fate, whatever, I wouldn't be who I am, where I am or what I am today. So, look forward to the future and use your experiences wisely

Best wishes,
Eric.

So sad for such a young man, Kevin.  Don't let the writing fall off, it doesn't matter what others think about it, it only matters what YOU think!

And it's as good as ever, just kind of sad for one with so much ahead of him!

Soft and touching...I also have a special one that I adore...she holds the key to her heart...I can only be myself and hope for the cure.   James
