They lie side by side just as they stood for a lifetime. They whisper secrets that they alone can hear just as they did for a lifetime. They feel the shifting sands above them, the eternal movement of mankind... usually in a forward direction, but sometimes backsliding, just as they have for an eternity. Side by side they were discovered, uncovered by a trick of weather, elements and shifting sand disturbed the eternal slumber of the lovers from the dawn of time. Now they lie in separate spaces, more distant than they have ever been. Traces of their past surround them, the bits and pieces that once defined them. They feel the watchers all about them, their eternal movement... not forward, more of a circular pattern, sometimes stopping and waiting, to ponder the secrets of eternity. |

What an exquisite thought process... "They feel the watchers all about them," Really enjoyable, and conveniently handled words, delicately placed effortlessly...had a great read here, Jana, Thank You. Regards, sudhir Hey you, out there in the cold, Getting lonely, getting old, can you feel me? Hey you, standing in the aisle, With itchy feet and fading smile, can you feel me? Hey you, don't help them to bury the light. Don't give in without a fight. Hey you, out there on your own, Sitting naked by the phone, would you touch me? Hey you, with your ear against the wall, Waiting for someone to call out, would you touch me? Hey you, would you help me to carry the stone? Open your heart, I'm coming home.... by Roger Waters (Pink Floyd) - The Wall |
