In this world there are few things to rely on pillars of strength are few and far between and I’m not one for leaning. In younger days I searched diligently for the good in others now I wonder, is this a facade... what lurks underneath it? Jaded thoughts... born of misty, fresh days a long ago girlhood plagued with contradiction between romance and stark reality. Give me a well developed sense of humor one who can chuckle at themselves, as well as others and I will feel affinity. |

Jana, I think there are times when we all wonder what lurks beneath the surface of those we encounter. There are a lot of people who will only show you what you want to see...their real selves are hidden deep inside the mask they wear. Makes you wonder if they ever take it off? Great piece and I look forward to reading more of your work. Welcome to Passions!! LW Friends are friend forever if the Lord's the Lord of them and a friend will not say never cause the welcome will not end. --Michael W. Smith |
