Amoung the stars in the sky, shines one so high, That star is you, my wife we part, stories told, shattered hearts. Another chance, another time, I can't face you being mine. No contact between us, my hand reaches out, I called for you with desperate shouts, Turned away by foe-in-laws, I have no choice, the crying has ceased in my voice. Time to travel, time to live, the affair you had I can never forgive, Never expected this,it came from the blue, I thought our love was deep and true. I'll die if you said go, I'd scream if you said stay, as I have suffered in many ways. -Rich- |

I know little about love, but more about pain. A powerful and sad poem. The only words of help I can offer is that how ever much the pain hurts it is not worth letting to take over you. Very intense my friend...I hope you are doing o.k. I also have an issue with infidelity. I based my choice on the total picture. I lost all hope for our marriage before the infidelity...so I figured that was her final message to me...and don't get me wrong...I believe forgiveness is important...but choices are important also...and she made her choice..and it wasn't me. James |

THis is deeply wounding to read sweetie...and Marge is right (usually is!!) if you can't forgive, move on in life and make the best of it...loved the poem!!! Open arms can be the most fragile in the world... |

I thank you all for your words of comfort, yes I loved, I supported,I cared for my wonderful wife, but Alas 'tis no more. Seperation leads toa whole mix of feelings, and if anyone reads this - remember to always talk about problems with your love! It's hard to trust after something like this happens because you still love the person who lost your trust. No one can tell you what to do, or how to heal. You just have to remember that the person who hurt you was flawed in some way. The flaw is what provoked them to be untrue, not you or anything about you. |

crikey!, If we all sat down together, we could cry a river.... I feel the hurt, the pain of marridge broken. I know I will survive this, but I wonder if my other (ex)half suffers the rollercoaster I am on.. -Rich- ....I gave all for nothing... |

Hi Rich I'm back I read your reply above and I just wanted to say that I don't think you gave your all for nothing as you must have dearly loved each other at some stage and you must have some fond memories that you will always treasure. The hurt is tremendous I know and the deception is the hardest to get through but when we love someone we do give our all at the time, never think that that is a bad thing. In time your heart will heal maybe not all the way but enough for you to move on and make a new start with someone who deserves your trust and love and you hers.
