Desolation of your heart (written down, it's so cliche') My God--to beat this demon back-- I would take it all away. If I could be your mother, new-- lullabyes I'd sing to you. Every hunger, every thirst, every bubble ever burst-- I'd repair them-- rainbow hued... I rage against these gods who laugh-- their wicked grins of aftermath... Hold my hand and understand, it's all that I can do. (for Kathe') [This message has been edited by serenity (edited 05-27-2000).] |

Serenity~ To hold a hand is to hold a heart. Lovely thoughts you've expressed. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |

Sometimes we can't go back and repair what happened in the past, but we can start fresh. Very good poem! |

Thanks to all---just needed to express how helpless I feel regarding my friend's grief--I had no idea how to reply to her questions of "why"--then I read Elizabeth Santos' "REASONS"--still don't know why--but I understand now that that is not a question for me to answer--so I'd like to thank Elizabeth again, you have taught me much with your grace and dignity and faith. |

S'en, You continue to force beauty through the feelings of despair, anger and bitterness. It's obvious you have lots of hope, and that's what I mean when I say you are a strong woman. And with words like these, you are definitely not oblivious. Mike |
