Two Lovers Met Two lovers met one summer night Enchantment filled this tender sight They came to meet as in a dream As I sat still beside the stream A little moonbeam softly dropped On whispering stream and there it stopped And in contentment stayed to rest Upon the water’s gentle crest The water murmured out of love And only I and stars above Were witness to the splendor there This tender meeting of the lovely pair Elizabeth Santos |
