To reach out and touch you-
Is to touch the soul that binds me…
To lengthen my distance-
Is to forever severe our destiny…

Methinks to gently abroad midway-
If to see you at only a glance…
To sway much deeper in face-
Is to forfeit this unending chance…

Collision brings tears of a fledgling-
Upon hindered altar I must await…
To challenge endurance of pledge-
As star-crossed lovers ever debate…

As wind remains my holy witness-
Love may blow within the breeze…
With I, steadfast in my distance-
Wilted by Love’s eternal decree…

Saturation of grace falls upon me-
As I beg thee with mine eyes…
To forever stay beside me-
If from a distance, 'Tis Fate’s design…

Open arms can be the most fragile in the world...

a powerful poem, filled with emotions,a great read.

As wind remains my holy witness-
Love may blow within the breeze…
With I, steadfast in my distance-
Wilted by Love’s eternal decree…

Saturation of grace falls upon me-
As I beg thee with mine eyes…
To forever stay beside me-
If from a distance, 'Tis Fate’s design…

Devina, the longing here is just superb. . . to want someone that much, to even be happy to have them from a distance. . . just speaks to the heart. . .

Excellent poem. . .

Devina,
So bitter sweet this one is.
Very touching my friend, and
well writen I might add.

Wonderful poem

AWESOME poem D,
you long and ache divine in this...
and so nice to have a poem from you again.
me thinks Fate's design will soon be defined.

They are not measured by the commitment of time.
Some emotions run too deep to be described by words,
Forgiveness and understanding-remain the most beautiful words ever heard.

Well devina, this was just amazing. I'd love to have somebody that would like to beg me with her eye's. There wouldn't be too much longing after that....

Very deep read here, I just love the flow and emotion.

Devina~
Beautifully stated.

'As wind remains my holy witness-
Love may blow within the breeze…
With I, steadfast in my distance-
Wilted by Love’s eternal decree…'

('Wilted' ... my Royal fanny !)
You blossom .... with the freshness
of young grace ... sweet fragrance
in your verse.

You've traced the star-crossed lover's plight so well with your fluid and romantic sentiments Devina ... this was wonderfully done!

Best wishes,
