You took a stone and tossed it To the side not thinking twice You listened to another Who’s words you now pay the price One may wonder if you hadn’t listened To the other you held so true You would have noticed the stone glistened It was one of a rare few Another picked it up Without a question in their mind That the stone you tossed so easily Was a stone of the precious kind They chipped away the layers That had been imprinted on by you Took away the roughness And the inside now shone through Now if you look at this stone closely You will realize that it is true You had a diamond all along A diamond that you threw |

Thanks SpitFire That's really sweet of you. I wrote this poem last year and it's the first poem I've ever written. I'm glad you enjoyed it. |

Wow, Kat, this poem was trying to roll off the first page. Can't have that, can we? Delightful imagery, well written - truly a glittering diamond of a poem. ~netswan |

I love your first! I'm talking to you, yes you the one with the diamonds in your eyes. _________________________________ Super Kiss I see beauty in your eye A diamond tear drips from a lie I'm your man not the other guy And if U cry so will I Just sweet treasures in your kiss Of endless measures I will miss No physical touch of ultimate bliss Between our lips there's a screen to kiss My puckered lips will try to break through This computer screen will break in two A super kiss just for U Then the love we can make just me and U ___________________________________ Hi kat I love hearing from you and I love reading your poetry. I would love to meet you some day. We sure had a lot of good laughs. Do you remember my very first response sent to U? I was a little nervous to send it to you. But as time went on U played with me and I loved it! See U sometime? [This message has been edited by insect (edited 08-13-2000).] |
