Our Garden of Love < !signature-->Planted May 22, 1999 By Kelly S. McDonald One year ago You sent a little seed It sparkled through my soul To my heart so in need Embedded there it held on strong Nurtured from above And suddenly it wasn’t long That seed sprouted a bud That bud within my heart Just grew & grew & grew I knew right from the very start That this was something new It bloomed into a rose of yellow ‘Friendship’ is her sweet name Each day she’s nurtured by a fellow The man from which she came ‘Friendship’ the thriving flower Was as happy as could be To see friends all around her Called ‘Sense of Humor’, ‘Kind’ and ‘Honesty’ Next she spotted ‘Caring’ Heard ‘Respect’ say, “She’s a must” And holding hands, in came ‘Sharing’ ‘Acceptance’, ‘Patience’, ‘Wit’ and ‘Trust’ ‘Understanding’ tapped her shoulder And pointed up above There she saw entwined all over A deep red rose called ‘Love’ Now my soul can’t help but soar And a song, my heart does beat You in my life, I’m so much more Together, I feel complete So on this anniversary day Of the growing seed, that you did start I must tell you, you’ll forever stay Deep in the garden of my heart KSM-05/22/00 ~Kellsue Reflect upon your present blessings-of which every man has many-not on your past misfortunes, of which all men have some. ~Charles Dickens We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give. ~Winston Churchill |

KellSue~ How in-bloom is your garden. So abundant with the seeds of love. Tended by the sharing of the gardners. Happy Anniversary ! Beautiful. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ noles1@totcon.com |
