Little Tears On little faces Secrets kept In hidden places Nowhere safe Granted spaces Our children cry Until the day sets Remember them Children all Harken to their Innocent call Listen to them Display their fear Right unto Everyone's ears Never to be heard. "Twould be better for a man to have a millstone tied about his neck and be cast into the deepest ocean than for him to harm these little ones...." Knowlege tempered by wisdom...Wisdom tamed by youth. |

Rob, thank you for posting to our challenge. This is a very well written and thought out poem. It is a sad world we live in, but there is always light at the end of the tunnel. Challenge well met! Marina |

These little ones, will indeed have to be strong the rest of their lives, after such abuse. It never goes away...the pain will forever remain. I know a few who have suffered, and were not heard. For them, I cry. Thank you Robert, this was beautiful. |

this is so perfect...and written with truth and compassion... thank you for giving an understanding pair of eyes and ears. take care, jm Well the sun sets gently on your shoulders And it makes me want to touch you there. And the light in your eyes makes me feel Like there's something much better out there Something kind... And I know someday I might be looking around Trying to find some purpose Well purpose it can't be that hard to find As long as I've got the wind... The wind and your love to carry me. vertical horizon |

But there are many who do hear hear. Yet your words speak loud from a heart that knows. Bless you for your sharing. |

Wow... so simple yet potent. It amazes me still how your poems leave my imagination running even when I'm finished reading. Great work. "Don't let your character get camoflaged with your environment. Find who you are and let it stay in its true colors." --Rachel Joy Scott |
