I walk barefoot Through fields of green grass Fresh air brushing my cheeks Young beautiful and fresh I am on the top of the world Carefree as a child should be.  When a poisonous snake Lashes out Sinking it's fangs deep Into my delicate ankles Instantly paralyzing Every nerve I fall to the ground Unable to move I scream call the ambulance! Get me a doctor! Please help me! I am dying! My voice falls silent... Father and mother Look down upon me Seeing me lying there Saying, "Don't worry" It wasn't a poisonous snake No need for any excitement Just a harmless snake If that? Don't waste your breath On an insignificant Thing like that. They chose to deny The seriousness of my cry Never understanding I had already died A thousand deaths And only by the grace of God I rose To die once more |
