Because of my inaction A child has died I pray for her soul More than I pray for mine For I am undeserving But the mother I condemn; I condemn her to Hell There, may she forever dwell (Short, but based on a real situation in my life. This is a reminder to never turn your head on abuse and think its not your place, or that someone else will fix things. We must take whatever steps necessary to remove a child from a bad situation. Before its too late.) |

jer, this is very powerful, and moving... and seems to have taken my words. stalking you always, your jm Well the sun sets gently on your shoulders And it makes me want to touch you there. And the light in your eyes makes me feel Like there's something much better out there Something kind... And I know someday I might be looking around Trying to find some purpose Well purpose it can't be that hard to find As long as I've got the wind... The wind and your love to carry me. vertical horizon |

I don't know what the circumstances were here or the of age of people you speak about, but you need to let go your guilt or you will never lead a "normal" life. Thank you very much for posting this, I know this was difficult for you. There is a great deal of emotion in this poem. Challenge well met! Marina |
