A nonsense verse, once again written for my son, if you read it very fast you may find it a bit more amusing.

The Wuggle

Have you ever wondered what a wuggle’s worth?
Or worried when his wiggle went awry?
Have you ever hurried home to hide his hearth?
And hoped he hadn’t had a halibi?

A wuggle wouldn’t wiggle without weasons,
Cause weasons put the wiggle in his wump!
A wump without its wiggle is the reason,
A wuggle wouldn’t want to wear a hump!

A wuggle with a hump is hardly hairy,
Or half as happy had he had a horn,
But when he whets his whistle we’ll be wary,
And wait awhile to witness what he’s worn!

So when you want to wander with a wuggle,
The wisdom of a wuggle’s weary wit,
Will satisfy and soothe your silly struggle,
To sing a silly song and sit a bit!

This is delightful, David...one to rival Dr. Seuss! I'll wager your son loves for Dad to recite this one!

The wuggle sounds even more weird and wonderful than a Heffalump*   That was a wonderful poem, I agree with Meadowmuse,
a definite, match for the cat in the hat.

*Another obscure Winnie the Pooh reference

David... i used to have the GREATEST shel silverstein site bookmarked... can't find it now because changed computers, lost all my bookmarked pages... just did a search and came up with these... enjoy! (not as good as the other one, but you'll love it if you love shel... what a major loss when he died last year... poet for both children & adults/musician/cartoonist/artist/humorist.. multi-talented individual)

Your children's work is wonderful and i'm looking forward to seeing you published.
Autograph a copy of your first book for me, ok?

They are not measured by the commitment of time.
Some emotions run too deep to be described by words,
Forgiveness and understanding-remain the most beautiful words ever heard.
