The Would Be Poet’s Attempt < !signature-->Pen in hand, paper below, gathering of liquid thoughts not to be merged simply but wrought as if with fire from the belly of life, with a struggle at birth and no whimper at death. And for her it cannot be done ~ for one leads to another, spoken aloud the word carries a tone, the tone leads to a tune, soon an orchestra’s sounds fill the air and lead on to another’s ear who hears the word and feels the pulse of life….. does she want impact or is it enough to impart deep feelings so wretchedly deep it gasps at the thought of becoming known to have either….. Pen in hand. Paper below. 19 May 2000 ©KRJ Sunshine Look, then, into thine heart, and write ~~~ Henry Wadsworth Longfellow [This message has been edited by Sunshine (edited 05-19-2000).] |

..."but wrought as if with fire from the belly of life," Beautiful, Sunshine. Life is indeed, poetry in and of itself. I love how you've written this... ~ Claire Could a greater miracle take place than for us to look through each other's eyes for an instant?......Henry David Thoreau |

Pen in hand, paper below, Sky above, Earth below Early morning, dew, Or misty deep-blue, paining a picturesque hue, merging liquid thoughts into a cue. Clueless as I sat without a thought, Read the poetess' words, a delight, a ray of sunshine through my window slits, caught, me by surprise, my pen began to write. Words, I didn't have a clue, about, began to take shape, forming a persistent queue, A chain of thoughts flow with mouth agape... Wondering beyond wonders, as I read this poetry of yours, I am glad, I just did.... Thanks Karilea for the spark, I almost went into a block...before I read this Regards, Sudhir. Life is like a painting, That in an art gallery is left hanging, Though many come just to look at it, A very few actually come to enjoy it. |

Sudhir, may sunshine light all of your days, and writer's block only be times of rest... |

Encore! Encore! With the breaking rays of the glorious sun...with Sunshine her poetry is always fun ![]() ^_^ LadySofia That time of year thou mayst in me behold, When yellow leaves, or none, or few, do hang, Upon those boughs which shake against the cold, Bare ruined choirs where late the sweet birds sang. In me thou see'st the twilight of such day, As after sunset fadeth in the west, Which by-and-by black night doth take away, Death's second self that seals up all in rest. In me thou see'st the glowing of such fire, That on the ashes of his youth doth lie, As the deathbed whereon it must expire, Consumed with that which it was nourished by. This thou perciev'st, which makes thy love more strong, To love that well which thou must leave ere long. William Shakespeare |

Oh, Sunshine, how exquisitely you express yourself! You truly are a ray of sunshine. Lori ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I hope you still feel small when you stand beside the ocean. Whenever one door closes I hope one more opens. Promise me you'll give faith a fighting chance. And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance - I hope you dance. song by LeeAnn Womack ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ |
