Some people may laugh Others may just stare They see only half Of what was once all there If they knew the story behind that piece Laughter would be the last thing they'd release I'll never forget that warm summer day Or the railroad tracks where you decided to play They said to be careful and step back You didn't listen so now a hand you lack Couldn't get loosse when the train came Doesn't matter to me I love you the same Would stand beside you come what may Regardless of what others have to say True beauty we know comes from within So never to them should you lower your chin Hold your head high and walk tall and proud my friend I will be here by you until the end The missing piece doesn't bother me any The tasks you can do still number many Oh how quickly things can change If they knew, they wouldn't look at you strange So lean on me when the going gets tough Together we'll tackle all obstacles regardless how rough Sorry this took so long, Redwriter1....been a busy week!!! Hope it is what you were looking for!! Friends are friend forever if the Lord's the Lord of them and a friend will not say never cause the welcome will not end. --Michael W. Smith |
