Can I have this dance dear sir
You can sweep me off my feet

We'll dance until the sun comes up
And the night is near complete

We'll dance until we can't dance no more
Our feet swollen, tired, sore

We'll twirl around that dance floor
Dancing with such ease

Can I have this dance with you tonight
Can I have this dance.....Please

For my friend Danny, I hope this cheers him up

Tracie, what a sweet response to my poem. I love to dance.  It has an intimacy all its own.
It was a nice surprise to turn on the computer and see your poem.  You are very thoughtful!  ~~means a lot~~
Thank you!

It sure cheered me up ... I'd cut in but then you'd have sore toes as well

Gotta love it!  Beautiful work, I love the way this one flows... and it's the perfect length to read right before work too. =)  --Dave
