I wandered the roads of darkness turned heart into stone. I've taken every hit with pride only to stumble through life alone. Wakeing to the sound of fighting beer bottles that hollow the air. Tis but one prayer I know one that GOD restrained to bear. Recaling the days of make believe to excape the tragedy. Running from this place called home to somewhere far and free. Once I was gone I never looked back never did I miss the misery. No loveing arms to hold me tight noone there takeing care of me. My pillow soaked in tears my bedroom door locked with the key Praying only for that one day..that one day to be free. |

CompGirl~ Very tenderly done. I would pray for freedom for every child who had to face these thoughts. Hugs ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |

Fortunately, I've never had ths experience but your words brought me as close as I wanna come to it. Great poem. Even if on such a sad subject. "The storm rises up when the shadows descend every beat of my heart every day without end I will stand like a rock I will bend till I break till theres no more to give if thats what it takes I will risk everything I will fight I will bleed I will lay down my life if thats what you need every second I live thats the promise I make" I have no idea who wrote this... tell me if you know. =) |
