I walk down the pathway all alone
For all my sins time to atone
To where will this road lead
Perhaps to a new life if I sign the deed
Thinking about it I'm overcome with fear
My eyes start to well up with crocodile tears

Won't be long until you are gone
So sorry for all that's been said and done
I'll always remember the good times we've had
Hope some day to look back and not be sad
I think this is probably for the best
Still leaves an emptiness inside of my chest

The path will be long and ever so rough
Will reach the end if I persevere long enough
Your pathway will be differet from mine
Both of us have a chance to shine
Maybe together, maybe alone
Maybe a new path eventually shown

Friends are friend forever if the Lord's the Lord of them and a friend will not say never cause the welcome will not end.

Wow....sounds like a decision has been made, whether it be the most desirable or not...only time will tell.  This was a great poem; you bared your emotions well.

L.W.* You show your heart and soul in this piece and the all the pain that goes with the path to tomorrow.  **AW hugs** sweetie! Things will get better as you know, I'm just sorry you have to hurt now.

Your poem is painfully touching. Very fluently put.

Oh hon...you are never alone and yes, the path may sometimes be rough, the way not well lit, the directions perhaps not as clear as we'd like then to be but if we keep focused, we'll find our way despite all. Know you are in my thoughts and if that path gets to rough, reach out and take the hand of a few friends, they're more than willing to help lead you.

This is beautiful, Lone Wolf. What can I say but 18 lines of fascinating poetry...a touch of heart, a glimpse of art...

Sudhir

Though many come just to look at it,
A very few actually come to enjoy it.

Starting over is never easy. You have expressed that very well in this!

True wisdom, however painful to realize.

Lone Wolf~
My friend, I know all too well about the choices that we are forced to make.   We never really know for sure if we have made the right choice for a long time.  You have to trust in yourself, and know that your friends will be with you all the way.  What a lovely poetic way of expressing this situation.

Love Ya~
