I am angry. I am at peace. I hear the laughter of criticism. I see their mocking faces. I want to know their security. I am angry. I am at peace. I pretend to care about their phoney words. I feel the space of my empty bottomless soul. I touch the spacious void of air that surrounds me. I worry that it's all caving in on me. I cry when it doesn't and I'm still alone. I am angry. I am at peace. I understand the end is coming but will never arrive. I say, "At least I'm still alive." I dream of floating down into this warm embrace. I try to smile, at least through my face. I hopw it makes you happy; my trials, my smiles. And that you are not offended by my guise for I am angry. I am at peace. [footnote: I am a friend of doreen's son, gnosis] |

kate, this is beautiful! i can't believe you wrote it so quickly... you are clearly a writer and artist... and just to think.. you wrote this at my kitchen counter! i'll be able to say, "i knew her when'... and gnosis is just chillin' like bob dylan, livin' like thanksgivin', maxin' like michael jackson... geesh... hehe  |
