Master plan or cruelest fate
I loved you beyond belief
Sure I’ll die from pain so great
You’ve left me to drown in grief

Dagger of  hate sliced so deep
Razor sharp words cut to bone
You laugh as my heart hopes seep
True colors you have now shown

Self love is your motive used
The unknown prey was my heart
This which you cruelly abused
With evil you hid at the start

A slow moving hateful plan
To give me love, then take back
Forgive?...I don’t think I can
When it’s my trust you attack

As I heal the walls are built
I can’t live through this again
I hope you are plagued with guilt
Then again....I LET you in

I had the choice to turn back
My eyes shut when you came
This a self-induced attack
I have only me to blame

The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams

BDC,
it's a shame when we let people into our lives that we think are going to help and love and take care of us only to have them betray that trust. . .

That shows in this poem, it's full of hurt and feelings of that betrayal. . .

Excellent poem. . .

BDC,

You did a great job in expressing your feelings within this poem. I'm there with ya...it's so sad when we find out people we care for are not who we thought they were, and we who treat others as we would like to be treated seem to get hurt more often.

Very nice work,
Kris

Wonderful and well written butterfly,
am proud of you!  Saw the title and my
first thought to who's to blame is the
was you, of course.  As most people won't accept the blame or realize that
in life we all have faults.

Forgiving them after you have been ditzed
upon can only leave your soft heart to blame
BUT don't let that stop you from loving again.  NO reason to take that kind of blame.
We love, we give, we get hurt - we forgive because we believe all are good like we are.
We get crushed.  BUT butterfly do not lose
trust for there are more who are trustworthy
than not ------take heart.

whoa, my sweet SS, you went deep for this one,
and you bleed with grace in every line.
you know i feel every word.
you know ... I know ... we know ...
WISH we DIDN'T know...
there is much I could say to this ...
but the thing that needs to be said the most is...
we must not close our selves off to leting love in...not everytime is a mistake and not every time, will it end in pain.
And we must not blame ourselves for loving someone.Remember how wonderful it felt in the begining...no one can be blamed for needing and wanting to let that in.
Heal in the sanctuary of those walls, but then come back out into the sunshine and feel its warmth again.
Otherwise we miss the rainbows that follow the rain.
Love you girl,
read my new signature, it applies here ...
feel free to take the "butterfly quote"for your sig.
I thought of you as well as my own sweet butterfly when I read it.
A friend sent it to me as a gift...
so I will do the same for you. *smile*

Mariposas no lloran,
This poem is really well written.  Great job with the rhyme!
Love can bring the greatest joy or worst pain!  It's an uncertain game, but we all play it, hoping to win!
Enjoyed your poem!

BDC,

Oh how true, my friend.  Hard to see those we loved and trusted for who they really are.  Only to discover that we were so wrong about them all along.  Very unfortunate circumstance.  You have expressed this very well.  Great writing!!

BDC--

this was very deep, intense, painful, and EXCELLENT!! i am so sorry you know this kind of loss and pain. however i think to blame yourself for loving someone is a little harsh. for if you had never let that person in you would have never known the sweetness of love. i know im only 23 but in my short time i have learned that sometimes its better to have loved for the moment than to never have loved at all. we only get once chance at this life, and we are bound to get hurt and make mistakes. sometimes people hurt us VERY badly and we think we can't move on. but i know from your writing that you have a true inner strength that you haven't even begin to tap into yet. i wish for you nothing but blue skies, a new love that is worthy of you, and much happiness. may your heart and soul begin the journey of healing and may your tomorrows be sunny and bright!
take care
amy

Isn't it so frustrating to be so drawn to someone, even when you think you shouldn't?  It's almost like you can't help it and then you get so angry with yourself.  I've been there too, don't feel bad.  "That which does not kill us only makes us stronger".  I know - an old cliche.  But one I try to remember in times like these.

BDC, I don't know if this is something you can truly blame yourself for.  Most of us dream of finding love, that special feeling that overwhelms you completely in another.  Then there are those who take advantage of that longing in others.  I myself would rather take the chance of being taking advantage of than not not giving my heart at all.  Your love is a beautiful thing, where the blame in this lies I cannot say but the shame in no way lies with you.     ((HUGS))

Michael...just like you to slip in quietly through the back door   I would blame myself more if I hadn't given it all that I had, and seeing that this is the only way that I know how to love....I have to take the chance.  Thank you so much for you kind reply...and the ((Hugs)) were nice too
