I Just Knew It ~Marge Tindal~ The day came. I knew it would. Three men in the making where little boys once stood. I look at you all, so handsome, so bright. Remembering the little boys I kissed goodnight. Counting the candles that you all just blew, my heart finally accepted what my mind already knew. You all are grown and it just should not be. Where are the boys that used to be? While my heart swells with pride, at the men you are now, I can't help thinking I miss the little boys, somehow. Suddenly you flash those little boy smiles. My heart does flip-flops. You've been there all the while ! Mom's are like that, they really are. All mushy and stuff when you've come so far. Robert, David and Steven the 'little boys' of my memory. I love now the men who stand here before me. Just don't ever be so 'grown' that you ever forget, this mom loves you with all her heart, YOU CAN JUST BET ! ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ noles1@totcon.com |

LOL Marge I could have written this myself LOL names changed on my three sons ------and of course, not as good as you hahaha, but hit home that is for sure. 3 sons to be proud of and I wonder where were those warm little bodies that used to hug and kiss me goodnight. And, yet they come visit me and still sit on my lap those scamps. ---) netswan |

"While my heart swells with pride, at the men you are now, I can't help thinking, I miss the little boys somehow." Hey Marge I got three sons also...and I am proud of them, and I miss the little boys, me and my wife got divorced when they were still little boys and I didn't get to see them as often as I should have and now that they are all grown up and I live in Hawaii and they live in Calif. and Germany I still don't see enough of them. I think about those songs like "Daddy don't you walk so fast". You have written a lovely and a thought provoking poem...for me that is. James |

I too miss my 'little ones' who have grown into such wonderful women. A part of me wishes I could have kept them little forever! This is precious, Marge! Denise [This message has been edited by dsnyder (edited 05-13-2000).] |

This just placed a wonderful smile on my face Marge ... to be able to see those little boy's smiles still, on the faces of handsome young men. Your pride beams from this lovely poem! Best wishes, /Kit |
