Haunted Promise You teased me and said there would be another when in reality I could not take a lover; for there will never be any other for you will forever haunt me. Go ahead and tease my flame but a lover by any other name will never be had, no, not by me for you will forever taunt me. To see another in this room? Did you think just any body could erase the long night’s gloom of this lonesome lady? Lonesome I am and lonesome I shall be, as I stay shrouded in your memory; for in any face I might gaze on, you I see for you will forever haunt me. Ah, dear love, don’t you know? Oh..so true that our poems compliment each other today, must be the weather or something. Actually mine is something I've had hanging around for a little while now that begged to be posted today for want of something else. Lovely poem by the way  |

Oh man, isn't it just awful when you can't get your mind to let go of all those "thoughts" and memories...? Argh...However, it's almost like a time of mourning. When your heart is through crying, you just might decide you're ready to face a new day with someone in your tomorrow. Hold on to memories until you're good and ready to let go. I think that's the healthy thing to do. Take care, and heal. |
