Ghost Writer I am the one that edits the books that other people read and admire the writer with their name in golden letters and their fame for such clever and faultless style I am the one in the background not any applause- not a sound for I must feed my family and edit other's grandiose tales while through my efforts they become renoun Erasing like mad - the could of and should of's and changing the ofs into haves and stamping out irregardlesses and other such english mistaken grammar So with my precious pen, I sit and slash their, there, its, it's, effects, and affects, than, then once in awhile I stop with my slashes, notes and dashes and ... dream of a time, when the children are grown, and money will not be such a disaster then finally in my moment of glory when at last I shall write a best seller my name stamped with pride in glorious imprinted letters "Ghost Writer" as any other name by then would be a misnomer Teresa King www.tipsfortop.com |

Good display of the people who are often left out if they are not doing the glorious work of "an author". Grant it that authors do deserve a round of applause, but as do the editors~they are often left unnoticed but with so much work left behind. We deserve one big round of applause for those people who make our writings better Thank you to all the editors out there and a wonderful poem to you! |

A fantastic poem, much enjoyed. ------------------------ "Isn't it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe that there are fairies at the bottom of it too? " Douglas Adams. Small Black Flowers That Grow In The Sky "You have your very own number They dress your cage in its nature Once you roared now you just grunt lame Pace around pathetic pound games Wanna get out won't miss you sensaround To carry your own dead to swing your tyre tricks Wanna get out here you're bred dead quick For the outside, The small black flowers that grow in the sky They drag sticks along your walls Harvest your ovaries dead mothers crawl Here comes warden, Christ, temple, elder Environment not yours you see through it all Wanna get out won't miss you sensaround To carry your own dead to swing your tyre tricks Wanna get out here you're bred dead quick For the outside, The small black flowers that grow in the sky Here chewing your tail is joy" Richey Edwards |

I really enjoyed that Netswan. Great ode to all the unsung hero's who never see the light of day. "And... dream of a time, when the children are grown, and money will not be such a disaster." Will there ever really be such a time??? Is there truly "life" after kids?? My neighbor thinks not...her's keep coming back and wanting to stay!!! Loved it... jwesley |

Wow what a lot of responses --) Thanks to: Ethan - Angelwings- Lorraine -Brian and Jwesley --and in answer to Jwesley: LOL no, Jwesley -- once you have kids, they are always part of you. Hopefully, they turn into your best friends, but grown up and responsible for their own actions. ~netswan |

Thank You, Martie - You know, with writing skills and the net - the whole world is open to making money for those that have skills. Scour the net with a fine toothbrush - see if companies are advertising for help - OR start your own editing service - I make my living on the net - marketing and servicing - I edit - ghost write - teach marketing and am a web host. I edit web pages - my dream (of course, is that my agent will find me a publisher for my three novels) but while I am waiting - my other dream is to get less servicing in and more marketing in - as it is less time consuming. You take care - THERE are jobs out there! ~netswan |
