This is not strictly a poem. Well not at all really. But see what you think. I was mainly written by me for me. So maybe you won't understand Thank you for listening tho ! Have you ever wondered if there is a place in which nobody is ever sad? There is no un-happiness, no tears, no hearts broken. The truth is you can never find this place until you go through all these things yourself, feel sadness, feel worse than you have ever felt before. In the past you have picked yourself up and just carried on, but now things have changed, you have no more strength left to do this. It is gone. The only thing you can do is dream of this wonderful place, the place which seems so warm and friendly, but you will never know until you get there. You sit at night just looking up trying to imagine what life would be like, how you would feel in this place. And yet you feel those feeling just thinking about it. Guilt, it is there it will always be, it never goes away. So the place you thought would make you happy, wouldn't. Will you ever be happy? Are you asking too much from life? To make yourself happy, makes others sad. You do not want to do this. You can never do things only for yourself there are always others involved. You dream about it every minute of the day. It never leaves your mind once it has entered. The place where all you hopes are never shattered unlike life where they are never kept. People would leave you alone, never disturb you. You'd be free to think about the lie you had and the lie you lived for so long. Once you are there nobody will ever find out all the terrible things you did. You do not have to watch every word you say hoping that no one will ever guess. Because no one has opinions no one can judge you on what you did or seem to have done. You are free to live life without wondering if everything you do gave it away. Until the time comes when you have fixed all those hearts you broke and you no longer think of any thing else, you can only dream. One day when you have the strength you dreams will become reality. |

[BABE]~ This is a very powerful piece in philosophy. Very thought-provoking and powerful imaginative writing. It is free-thought and it is very good! I, too, have dreamed of such a place, and maybe one day I will get there. Babe-- I don't know what the rest of the guys are gonna say about this...but i would call this expressive writing...which isn't that what poetry is? so yes...i would classify this as poetry. this was indeed VERY thought provoking, imaginative, powerful, and intense. and i related to the words of this more than you shall ever know! i think such a place does exist. i am the ever optomistic person who believes in the glass being half-full...however i also know that reality often crushes our hopes and dreams. i am a contradiction of sorts (i know lol) but at any rate with all my rambling..what i'm trying to say is very very good piece of work you have here. my hat is off to you! take care, amy ~Live today as though it were your last but prepare for tomorrow as though it were here~ |

Hi BABE! A lot of these thoughts have occured to me in the past. The conclusions mostly arise from the thinking I do rather than listening to people,atleast lately it's like that. We needn't sit under a BODHI tree to receive enlightenment. If we learn to accept happiness and sadness always come in various forms and we need a balanced mind to face it in a way which will not lead to some depression or dejection. Both are essential for maturity in a man's life. It's within you, you've to search rather than going on a world tour. Sincerely A_L |

Babe, it's very good writing and, since you are new here, we can let it stand. In the future, though, this type of writing should be placed in the Prose Forum or the Feelings Forum would also be a good choice. It will still get much attention and will remain visible longer in the other forums which do not move as quickly as the Open Forum does. You're very talented and it is a pleasure to welcome you into our family. |
