What do u do when someone tells u they still love you. Although u do not feel the same ??
This is exactly what happened to me. I still think about it all the time.
Thank you for listening.

Your life is going great, you feel so good.
Then the past comes back the way you never thought it would.

Confusion again. What do you do?
Do you forget everything and hurt them too?

You try to explain your feelings have gone.
But they tell you they're still just as strong.

Don't apologise, you're only partly to blame.
He's the one who should now feel the pain.

This "love" thing doesn't work any more.
You've lost those feelings, you've closed the door.

So maybe this time you broke a heart.
But only the fantasy, the dreaming part.

We both had dreams that we thoughts were real.
But forgetting each other was not part of the deal.

I gave up my love, which I shall never regret.
But he wasn't as strong, that I could bet.

I don't blame anyone for the mistake we made.
Maybe I was stronger, so his love had to fade.

But the end to this is not as bad.
I found happiness I thought I could never have.

well Love is a complicated thing and i am not exactly the one to give advice. Keeping following your heart and writing from it as well. great poem.

Hi Babe!
Thats a nice one. I'm the person who still loves and my friend does not feel the same. So as you had bet I wasn't strong. I regret for the love I have lost, but I cannot find the inspiration or love that I found in her in anyone else. Also its not something you search for. It came when I didn't expect and left when I didn't expect.

I am sorry if it seemed that in my poem "you weren't as strong" That was my fault in not explaining my poem enough. I gave up a love for him and when the chance came along for him to have me or a real love he chose the real love so in that way he "wasn't as strong"
I did not mean to "offend or saden" ne one in ne way.
