Breath Unplugged When a spirit is set free across the chasm there is a breeze that nibbles ripples into the lake even when breath is unplugged it holds a minute to navigate the loss and plant a pulse so quick that robins in cocking head turn in sweet bewilderment Listen to the dreams that come when you are open to dimension and time spreads itself and you will know that love has no boundaries and that it understands forgiving before your tear has left its small circumference on the pillow [This message has been edited by Martie (edited 05-08-2000).] |

Very thought provoking. I read this with my own interpretation, it spoke to me deeply, I guess that is what good poetry does! Denise |

Martie~ Just one question ... How do you consistently write the best poetry I've ever read ? I want a book of your poetry ! ! ! Yes, I do. 'and you will know that love has no boundaries and that it understands forgiving before your tear has left its small circumference on the pillow. So tenderly awesome. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |

Oh, Martie, this is so beautiful! I was especially struck by the words "love has no boundaries and that it understands forgiving before your tear has left its small circumference on the pillow" you are able to formulate such feelings on paper so meticulously! I love this! |

Martie, I read this, and I am taken aback....The first time through, I read it as if you were talking about death. But then the ending make me think differently....hhmmm...? You have a way with sharp, vivid imagery too, that is outstanding! Such a short poem, with such a powerful imprint to leave on the reader's mind! WOW. |

You share, so acutely, what it is to finally relenquish ourselves to acceptance of that unplugged, heightened breath, and trust that time "does" spread itself, no longer chained, across all dimensions...wonderful writing, Martie... ~ Claire Could a greater miracle take place than for us to look through each other's eyes for an instant?......Henry David Thoreau |

Yes, I agree unchained, which reminds me... Rosemary just ate all of my sour cream and didn't use one single chip. I'm going to have to send her spirit down to the store, chips with no sour cream... YUK..! Good work Martie If I could paint a portrait, of this life in which I've led, and somehow sketch a story, of the visions in my head, I'd start out with a canvas, stretched tightly in a frame, and in the bottom corner, I'd leave room to sign my name. Ruth--You are so good at making me glad I write. Jen--It is about death, but also about the spirit which I believe never dies, and if we are open enough, can feel. Claire--Thank you for your lovely reply and for seeing so clearly. Lucky--Thanks for making me laugh--you are such a ....hmmm...thinking here....ahhh..scamp..yup...and that's a good thing! |
