Throw open the floodgates
Let it pour into your soul
Agony of blackest fate
Taken now it’s toll

Live for the moment
Heart full to bursting
Love surges in a torrent
On the inside dying

From her lips a kiss
Enswathing weak in passion’s fire
What heart could resist
Unchained beauty and need so dire?

Rushing river scathing
Clinging to shattered dreams
Feel the burn of the soothing
World not what it seems

Rocks break the rushing black
No support offer they
Callous stone there is no lack
Breaking all with the words they say

The floodwaters rise and boil
Jetsam of life blazing by
Work and sweat and toil
Through pain I will fly

This has brought tears to my eyes Abe. I too am living these words of torment and pain. You have captured the mood well here my friend.

Oh Abe...such pain within you, my friend.  Know that I will always be here to help you deal with whatever comes across your path in life.  Forever, my friend.  You can count on me.

Btw, deep, cutting, painful work here.  Your poetic talent is definitely growing.

Abey,

Great poem firstly.  Very vivid in my tiny head.  LOL.

I said it once, and I'll say it again, if you need to talk to someone, I am here... just like krista and every other friend you've got.  I've used you to talk to many a time, I'll be here to return da favor if you need it.

Cheer up!

Abrahm....  this is a stunning poem.  It is very, very good, and I am really impressed.  I know I'm no judge of poetry, as my talents mainly lie in prose, but I thought it was excellent, and as long as you can reach people, that's what matters.  Great job.
