Lovers' Lives For years to love alone with no recourse To never vanquish coarse and shallow care, To live with paltry tools that brought remorse And left one only loneliness to share. But when true love caressed myweary hand And whispered that she too had loved alone, Together we began to understand That love must from a seed be fully grown. This seed of unity we nurtured dear As now our blossom flourishes and thrives, To bless us with these joys that know no peer, This sweet entanglement of lovers' lives. For truly where one stood now stands but two To laugh and learn and live and love anew. |
