Somewhere is rising, a moon painted blue. Is it these tears, which creates such a view? Rising high above this e'en's torpid pall, A glimmer of hope- first one since the fall. Moon, oh silver orb, where is thy white light Painted in argent to shine through my plight? Blue hue unrefined, accosting my eyes... A true travesty when e'en nature cries. Rising into sky, coloring the earth; Moon christened Denial, a hopeful rebirth. Painted ‘cross my face, you promise a chance. Blue crystalline sphere, you promise romance. Is it in truth that once in ev'ry lifetime, Somewhere is true love to fit each paradigm? Painted midnight, quiet contemplation, Blue echoing lonesome conversation. Somewhere my love is awaiting a smile; Is waiting as I, for someone worthwhile. A breeze on my face dries tears from my eyes. Rising from knees, I raise fists to the skies. "Moon of my pain hear these words from inside, A man I was, empty, even of pride. Blue cloaked all the days as I walked in death, Painted an un-life, stole ev'ry breath Moon, born in the light of never-can-be, Is a new man. From the past now, I'm free!" Rising o'er my path as I smile "adieu," Somewhere is rising, a moon painted blue. [This message has been edited by Christopher (edited 04-17-2000).] |

What interesting thoughts we have here -- quite unique in your approach. Not my favorite from a poetic standpoint, but I'll give you an "A" for creativity ... ![]() --Me Full fathom five thy father lies, Of his bones are coral made, Those are pearls that were his eyes; Nothing of him that doth fade But doth suffer a sea-change Into something rich and strange... --William Shakespeare, from The Tempest |

Christopher~ This is absolutely breathtaking. The content is impressive. The 'poem within' is such a delight. Of course the color blending is beautiful. The ending is HAPPY ! And it's about a most wonderful subject that I love ... that 'Writer's Moon'. You are precious ! You're the greatest ! Love ya' ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ noles1@totcon.com |

Christopher, Somewhere is rising a poet in my heart Who captured my heartstrings and tore them apart So lovely his verses, so wondrous the thought ‘Twas surely a song from an angel I caught But no, this sweet music that I would consume Was echoing off of a quiet blue moon A young humble poet created a rhyme That sounds like an angel song, sung for all time The stars looking down cannot tell them apart Somewhere there is rising a poet in my heart Liz |

Christopher, You have woven a wonderful tapestry with this one. The colors are not only for the eyes, but for the heart as well. I love it. ~HAPPY!~ (by the way, I have a crowbar if you still can't get your casket open. I had trouble with mine not too long ago, too ![]() ~you reached inside, you touched my heart, and I am all the better for it~ Terry A. Woodson, Jr. |

Liz - Sigh. You sure know how to melt a man's heart m'dear! You yourself have a tongue with which to remake worlds. Thank you, thank you. Mike - Re-birth, perhaps, or merely an interlude... one never knows until the proverbial fat lady, huh? Gen - Why so quiet? 'Tis quite unlike you!!! SPEAK!!! ![]() TerryW - Through such a tapestry perhaps, we can follow the events of other's lives and see them in respect to ours, to know that perhaps we're not all that different at heart! Thank you... and yes, if you could just unbolt that last pin there, no, there... yes, that's it! Danny - Thank you for reading and replying! Claire - Lass, you also have the gift which leads to the downfall of so many men. You've captured me with this picture of beauty. Thank you friend, for such a lovely response! Princess Poet - Well then let me welcome you to the land where dreams come true. I'm grateful that you compare me to any poet, much less ones as good as you list. I am humbled. |

Wow... this is really amazing. I feel belittled in all my poetic efforts. ![]() Maybe one day I'll write something to compare to this. "Don't let your character get camoflaged with your environment. Find who you are and let it stay in its true colors." --Rachel Joy Scott |
