I sit, as darkness yields to light, nicotine coursing through veins, limbic spewed jumbled messages leap synaptic clefts, unable to enter yet asleep, the frontal lobe. light steals through cracks in blinds, dances on the bedroom walls, while thoughts so primitive remain, animal thoughts, clawing at the bone, void of reason full of needing hungry gnawing prowling discovering remains of something lost, exploring acrid air, nothing to be found to satisfy the void, emptiness pervades the marrow. reasoning, judgement awaken, feeling limp, wrinkled sheets, the bed is meaningless, you are gone. warmhrt the poet's pen...gives to airy nothing A local habitation and a name ~ Shakespeare |

Thanks, Denise. Believe it or not, I wrote this before the real sadness occurred...perhaps I have a sixth sense. LOL Kris the poet's pen...gives to airy nothing A local habitation and a name ~ Shakespeare |

ack - I can relate to this... Sleep deprivation and an otherwise empty bed... great imagery here. Loved this. Michael |

Thanks Michael...sorry if it brought up any painful feelings. People live through this all the time, and who knows, you may come out of it a stronger person. Kris the poet's pen...gives to airy nothing A local habitation and a name ~ Shakespeare |

Excellent creative words, warmhrt. My sincere regards, sudhir Take each day as it comes, Consider each day as a flight, Try hard to succeed and fly, Surely then you will reach some height. But if by some chance you don’t, Remember that tomorrow will always come. Learn this well and learn this hard That today’s efforts will pay for tomorrow’s fun. A Crazy Monster, a.k.a Ski |

Jeffery, Though I am expressing my feelings in my writing, I feel a little sorry that it sometimes evokes sad emotions or memories in those who read it. I thank you, however, for reading and taking the time to comment. Kris the poet's pen...gives to airy nothing A local habitation and a name ~ Shakespeare |

Thank you ~X~, for reading and for commenting. Not ever all alone, though...my dog thinks it's her bed, too! warmhrt the poet's pen...gives to airy nothing A local habitation and a name ~ Shakespeare |
