~He Use To Call Me Baby~ He use to call me baby ... and it set me free. He use to write me amazing love poems ... his sweet words allowed me to breathe. He use to call me brown eyes, and say I love you, Janet Marie. He use to whisper affections in my heart... and promise to love me thru eternity. I use to call him baby ... and it set him free. I use to pray ... he'd be here to stay... no one ever needed the kind of love -- he did from me. I use to hold him while he cried...he felt so tired and alone, He needed to be loved this way... in his life ... this kind of love ... he had never known. Sometimes fate gives us gifts...and then takes them away. Sometimes the reasons are just too hard to accept... until an unselfish love comes in your life ... and in your heart to stay. Something's are simply -- just not meant to be, but if you love someone like its your last chance ... this kind of love ... will truly set your heart free. ... He use to call me baby ... and it set me free ... Janet Marie 2/23/00 |

Janet, I just read this...it's beautiful. I thank you for sharing it with not only me but our fellow poetfolk. When loving sets us free, it is truly a love of loves, and that, my friend, brings poetry to our hearts. Thank you so much for your sweet gesture. ~ Claire Could a greater miracle take place than for us to look through each other's eyes for an instant?......Henry David Thoreau |

Janet, This is a very good description of how to love perfectly. I have great empathy with your words, being unsuccessful in my past relationships. This truly moved me. David2 |

~jan oh this one left me with a lot of feelings. i think sadness is the most powerful one. if i haven't told you before..i will now... YOU ARE A VERY STRONG PERSON! I truly admire you, not only for your poetic ability (which is outstanding) but for the type of person I know you are and have come to know. This was written Janet Marie style..and what I mean by that is, it was written with lots of love, depth, intensity...the type of depth and feeling that make a reader think really hard and long afterwards. thank you for sharing, i too have felt these things before. love you, amy ~Live today as though it were your last but prepare for tomorrow as though it were here~ |

Jan, I'm actually sitting here crying! We are on the same wavelength. We could almost combine mine and yours. Perhaps my answers are in this poem. Thanks so much. Lori |

Now I really like that...especially the line ..."he used to call me baby... and it set me free". That just says worlds! I'm jealous I didn't think of it first. Very nice... j. |
