Never have my eyes seen Such beautiful words Never have my ears heard Such a truth, A fraudulent past Born of ignorance Preserved by childlike innocence No reason to doubt, Now I stare in disbelief My mind a foggy haze Blinded by their brilliance Confused by their implications These words so beautiful Yet so painful, This truth So wonderful Yet so inconceivable |

This poem, although I don't know the words to which it refers, could very easily be applied to the Bible. I think it sums up the way I looked at them the first time I discovered the truths within. In any event, this is a well written poem. I enjoyed this very much! Denise |
