We were so young, my love and I, That one sweet summer that we knew. The air so warm the days so bright And never were the skies so blue. We had no thought of clouds to come, Of wars and partings, long and sad. We held that summer close and dear, The summer that was all we had. lovely nostalgic piece Joyce. the woods are lovely, dark, and deep, but I have promises to keep, and many miles to go before I sleep...Frost |

This is so true with me and my love, as well. We often think about the carefree days we led, thirty years ago. Thanks, for a pleasant read this morning. Melton |

This poem is so romantic and sad too..hugs, Ellie A friend hears the song in my heart, and sings it to me when my memory fails. |
