Dreams Awakened

Some time in the night
if you awake to find me gone
Know that dreams often return
in the moments just before dawn
Close your eyes ~ until then rest
Dreamless slumber can be best
I will come to you on the sun
when sleep of night is done
You will know I am real
when upon silken pillow you feel
me reach out and take your hand
leading you to this day in love land
