I just lied to my best friend
I told her I no longer like him
Now my heart suffers
I just want to be able to look at him
Without the blush creeping up my face
To be able to talk to him
Without losing my place
I want everyone to just butt out
It’s my life, don’t you see?
So go away
And let me deal
With the emotions that surround me

Welcome and I do think that this is a very passionate poem worthy of a site called 'Passions' in Poetry. Lied??? I'm not so sure that this is the case... I think that perhaps you were being truthful in what you were saying to your friend... Perhaps you did not like him for what he was doing to you emotionally at the time, but that does not mean that you did not like his other attributes. Smiles. Perhaps your friend misinterpreted. You know, friends are very very good at that. Again, Welcome to Passions.
