Going Home Yes Mom, I know it's been a while. That long? I can't believe it. But my workload is piling up. I simply cannot leave it. I wish you'd try to understand How much I have to do. I promise that, soon as I can, I'm coming home to you. I love you, I'll see you again When circumstances allow. My boss is calling, I must go And say goodbye for now. I do not want to cause her pain Or give her any sorrow. The phone again, my sister's voice. I'm going home tomorrow. this was a very real fear for me. that's why I moved To Fla to be with my parents in the twilight of their lives the woods are lovely, dark, and deep, but I have promises to keep, and many miles to go before I sleep...Frost |
