No Hobbledehoy

Compared to the normal hobbledehoy
He is a most uncommon boy,
With knowledge and wit beyond his years
And manners far above his peers.

His mama loves him, one can tell
Because she's done her job so well.
The lass he loves, whomever she be
Won't know how much she owes to me.

I took this little piece of clay
And stroked and hugged it every day.
I worried as only a mother can;
Turn over to her, this perfect man.
