Under the Midnight Moon Under the midnight moon I stand. A stranger in a foreign land. I ponder on what brought me here Away from all that I hold dear. The radiance that floods around, Draws eerie mist, from out the ground, To drift and twine about the trees And float like smoke, around my knees. I stare at it and know that I Am drifting too, but don't see why My life has taken such a turn. In looking back, what did I learn? Whatever lessons I might find, Seem to elude my questing mind. Perhaps an answer will come soon While gazing at the midnight moon! It is so beautiful, serene. The brightest moon I've ever seen. It quite entrances me to stay Another hour, another day! And will I in some distant year, Discover why I linger here, Or am I steeped in mystery Just like this midnight moon I see? Betty Lou Hebert |

Absolutely stunning without a graphic! You know what this reminded me of? Monday night The Bachelor In Paris began on t.v. and my daughter-in-love and I were watching it, as the bachelor pointed out that they were standing under a full moon, not knowing what his fate would be. Great job! "There's nothing worse that being an aging young person!" - Richard Pryor |

What a treat to read, as your posts always are, Betty. I awoke at 3:30 AM the other night, peered out our big dining room window to the west, and there hung the moon, huge, gold and round, so low. It was just beautiful and I was captivated, too. God bless Rae |
