She feels the spark somewhere deep, more like a tickle of current than a shock he’s just there when a moment ago he wasn’t she tried not to stare but, it was a losing battle his eyes were the key, soft blue, like the pacific dark hair spilling over his forehead like a little boy she used to know men were such little boys after all, she thought as the spark kindled into a wisp of flame warming her insides will he notice me in this crowded noisy room she wondered, then the most wonderful thing happened their eyes locked for a long moment and he smiled that warm smile interest written all over that rugged face as he walked toward her weaving through the crowd she had but one thought... yes... the woods are lovely, dark, and deep, but I have promises to keep, and many miles to go before I sleep...Frost |
