Eyes black as pitch and raven hair, Who sooths me now that you're not there Alabaster skin as white-as snow, Who holds you now, I cannot know Today is dank, and dark, and grim, With thought of you and then of him I know not what will come of this, shattered dreams, confused, amiss Slender form , small ripened breast, You who stand above the rest Fade to purple, then to blue, Lovely vision once so true Time will heal new wounds, it’s true, But better yet to be with you Who comforts me through raging storm No one you see, alas, you're gone. the woods are lovely, dark, and deep, but I have promises to keep, and many miles to go before I sleep...Frost |
