Lovingly in a blanket wrapped,
Then placed into your arms,
Heartstrings singing loudly,
You're blessed by baby's charms.
Innocent eyes drift off to sleep,
An oh ~ so delicate sigh,
In sweet repose the rosebud mouth,
Sings you ~ a lullabye.
Time is stilled for a moment,
As you hold this work of art,
A tiny hand grips your finger,
A snuggle grabs your heart.
Your eyes are all ashimmer,
With joyous Grandma tears,
The wee one nestles closer,
In love, for all the years.

Bonnie, are congrats in order here? Please let me know! This is a sweet and lovely poem. I know the feeling well. So far, 5 grandchildren and number 6 due on my birthday! Love, Ellie

You've described our latest addition of almost three months to a "T".

It's an feeling unknown to a young man like me, but you have described in such a way that i think i can almost feel what you feel!
