White Bear Cub Out in the forest, I have spied A black bear with her cub beside. The cub, white as new fallen snow And a real rarity, I know. I wondered what the future held, For this creature I beheld. Would mankind let the years unfold? Allow this bear grow to be old? Or would some hunter selfishly Destroy his life so he could be Stuffed and mounted for display Or made into a rug, someday? Whatever spirit guards the bear, I hope will hide him off somewhere And let his life be as it should. A wild bear living in the wood! Betty Lou Hebert |

This is great. You are so respectful of nature. That has to be your faith shining through. love, Barb |

Dear Joyce: I suspect the Native Americans would have a story about him. He was seen in Michigan last June. Unfortunately, I did not see him except in photographs! Love Betty Lou Betty Lou Hebert |

Dear Annie: He was sighted and photographed last June shortly after he was born. Haven't heard anything about him since, so I too, hope he is safely hidden in some deep woods! Love Betty Lou Betty Lou Hebert |
