All the world's a blur and my vision dims The wind howls in haunting anger and fear As we are cast about like dice on a whim The present is slipping, into the future we sail Retrospective actions are too late, they fail And my hands clench nothing, short of their goal Eyes mist through their dryness and are veiled Even with sight we cannot see with eyes of coal In different dimensions, different degrees We all try to help ourselves see But what we learn from memory; This thing can never be I am taxed by weariness from the labor Of trying to do somehow more than asked But it is this struggle, this very labor That gives me life and some sort of task Ah, but the horizon lies ever just ahead And the landscape shifts with slightest inclination So that this icon is something else instead Feeding from the wickedness of the population 3D sight surrounds the light Of hope to survive, maybe, just might We ascend the impossible height, Only to descend into endless night... |

Wow. I'm really impressed. The whole thing was great, but I think the end was the best part. Well done! -Peaceful "I'm just me, trapped in a body." |

I am taxed by weariness from the labor Of trying to do somehow more than asked But it is this struggle, this very labor That gives me life and some sort of task Ah, but the horizon lies ever just ahead And the landscape shifts with slightest inclination In the beginning, you had me scratching my head...wondering why you would allow such qestions to grow on you so, but alas, you fooled me...or should I say, my assumptions fooled myself, cause in the end, you had me jumping for joy and high fiving ya Excellent! |
