When the grief becomes to hard and you push everyone away Then run as fast as you can Into the light of another day When you spend sleepless nights Crying to the man in the moon And wish for nothing more Then to be with old friends like you When you look at the bottom of a bottle And know that there no answers lie But yet go and open another Just to get you through the night When you push back so hard Because someone wants to get close Yet you know you can't deal with Just another goodbye in a long list of loss When you close your eyes and picture All the hours of yesterday Still you can't seem to remember Why you hold on so hard to today Thats when its gone to far And you need to reach out Don't give up, there's still fight in you You can make it through this round Your time is here. Take one last look at it, then never come back. This part of your life is already over... |

I liked "boxing." Maybe even, shadow boxing. Good right and well expressed. Sometimes, it does feel like this. |

Title suits the poem. I do also like the suggestion Shadow boxing. I enjoyed this poem. fave stanza: When you push back so hard Because someone wants to get close Yet you know you can't deal with Just another goodbye in a long list of loss Hugs from June x |
