He saw her finally, as she really was, nothing more than a child in rose-scent He watched the way she applied the paint, carefully out-lining her soft lips in pink accent. She was unlined, small boned, hardly formed and yet ... Like this she was a clever hook - - irresistable. Watching her now though, his concience found her indigestible. She had wrapped her hurt in nylon, lace and leather, instead of in the arms of a loving mother. He watched her erase the child with khol, and tiptoed from the hotel room ... home. |

thanks all. This kind of thing saddens me so much. Children being forced by cicumstance to grow up too soon. Sadly this happens much too often. Hugs to all from June x |
