Twilight One star shines and the moon is high. A golden crescent in the sky. The breeze that's blowing from the west, Ruffles up the lake's dark breast. Night settles in and I can see Black silhouettes of every tree. There is a peacefulness, I find In watching each long day unwind And seeing last light fade away, Draws off the troubles of the day. There is a quiet moment then, That never seems to come again, At any time, until the hour Twilight once more, wields its power! Betty Lou Hebert |
