What has become
of the love we had.
My heart is heavy
My soul is sad.

Tears fall
like a heavy rain.
My body aches
embracing your pain.

I have only love
to give to you.
Yet you wont accept
Even my forgiveness wont do.

You keep the pain
constantly flowing.
Not seeing, or feeling
the love,so never knowing.

My heart is real
as the loneliness I feel.
My spirit broken
my soul you try to steal.

I try to give
you the best.
You only push buttons
a nightmare, no rest.

What can I do
what can I say.
When my love
not allowed,must be your way.

I understand
what's happened to you.
No understanding
to what it's put me through.

I try to keep
only love in my heart.
Believe in you
as I did from the start,

The game of denial
making roles reversed.
Your resentment goes on
like a devils curse.

I really love you
even after all the pain.
Shame your ego feels
you must take me down, as insane.

You say I am lucky
how could that be.
When it is still
Love for you, None for me.

thank you, what do u do when patience is pushed over limit. when no matter how hard you try to keep control. acknowledge the good, ignore the bad. more good i do, more bad thrown at me. i know i cant do anything for him, only find a way to show him, i understand, i love, 14 years, all stays same no matter what. i feel stupid for staying and taking his anger. i really care about him. want him to be around for the beautiful grandkids, let them rememger him as a grandpa, not a drunk. thankyou

Very nice work, it flows beautifuly like a mountain stream- once it engulfs you there is no turning back. Great work. Hope to read more.

Love is unconditional, but that does not mean you have to suffer. I could feel much pain there and it brought back memories for me. You poured your whole soul into that poem. I liked it.

This is a sad tale ... maybe (?) showing him this poem will open a door of opportunity for and 'intervention' ?
